The backyard

We didn't want to leave California after our week of fun for Christmas, so we didn't. Grandpa Hutchins bought a new home and it needed some fixing up. Since Josh is a landscaper and the backyard was dirt, we were able to stick around for a few more days and Josh worked on the yard. 

Ellie was excited to not sit in her carseat for 10+ hours

She was also excited to try her first taste of DP. Just kidding, she just held the can for a picture, but she tried her hardest to drink it! 

Ellie and I just hung out and kind of painted the outside of the house with Josh's cousins. Josh put in a ton of pavers for a nice patio. 

A few weeks ago, Josh went back to California to finish up the yard. Ellie and I missed him A LOT. It was probably the longest week of our lives. But we stayed busy by napping, organizing the house, playing with toys, decorating for Valentines day, making valentine crafts, teething, reading, and going to a 4 month well baby check up. You can decide who did what. I also found out that our house is VERY creaky at night. And not only is it creaky, the creaks move from the front door towards my bedroom. So, yes, it sounds like someone is coming through the front door and into my bedroom... 

Anyway, here is the backyard now! Beautiful! I can't wait to see it in person!
