I did different colors for each one and I was so proud of the way they turned out. They may not be perfect, but they were definitely stitched with love.
Our niece Lucy got baptized the same weekend that Kevin graduated from high school. Josh and I were sad we couldn't go, so I decided to send her a card with a CTR necklace in it or something. I looked for literally weeks before finding something that I thought was kind of cool. I remember at my baptism I was so excited to wear all my new jewelry and I wanted her to have the same kind of feeling. Nothing ever really stuck out to me, so I started to frantically look for something else. Then I noticed my cross stitching stuff. So I came up with a little design in my head and drew it out on paper before drawing it on the fabric. This actually translated perfectly from what I had in my head, which is pretty rare because most things I see in my head usually don't come out the way I pictured. I was more surprised with my drawing skills than my cross stitching skills this time! I had Josh sew on some grass by a couple of the flowers because, after all, he is a grass expert! That way, the present was from both of us.
We sent the present with Josh's parents because they were headed down to see Lucy. She called me a couple days after she got baptized to thank me for the present! I felt so cool to have Lu call me and personally thank me :) Josh said he doesn't even think she's called him e.v.e.r. Here it is...
Now, my only problem is thinking of another project to do!

That's exactly how I feel! I get into a crafty groove and do whatever projects I've been planning for a while, and then I don't know what else I can do... Cute projects though! :)

ReplyDeleteI would like to become domestic and crafty once I become a so called "house wife!" Which to be honest I am pretty jazzed about. So could you maybe teach me?! PS your stuff is so cute!
