A Grad. The Jurgensmeier Era has finally ended at Minico High School. Kev graduated on May 27th and it was a little crazy to think he's old enough to do that! I was able to get off work early and pick up Bryce in Provo (poor guy's apartment flooded and he had to clean it up all morning!) and we headed to Rupert. It was a fun ride just talking and laughing with my brother. We made it to the High School just in time for the graduation which was inside?! It was funny to me that it was inside because mine was outside and it was a very cold and windy May 21st. Here's the proof.

I'm holding my hat on, which is also being held on by 1000 bobby pins, and my family are all dressed in winter coats! It was so cold! I'm glad Kev's graduation was in the gym though, because it rained so hard immediately after his graduation that my Aunt Cheryl arrived at dinner completely soaked! We all waited around in the building a little longer, but she braved the storm and came out soaked. Even in her drenched state she still looked great so it was ok. Here's some pictures that I took with my camera, my Dad has better ones, but I was too eager to blog I decided not to wait for him to email them to me.

The next morning, I sent my family off to Florida and I hung out with my friends all day long! It was so fun, we went to Penny's, a mexican restaurant a couple miles farther into the desert from my house, talked and laughed for hours and had a little bonfire. It's always so fun to spend time with my girls!
A Bride.

These two high school sweethearts are getting married in less than 20 days! And we couldn't be more excited for them! Especially since they are moving down to Orem/Provo in August! We're excited for some fun parties! Cris had a bridal shower last weekend and Josh and I went up on Saturday so I could go. It was so fun seeing Cris so excited about their upcoming wedding and see all our friends. She is going to be the most beautiful bride and Jason is such a lucky guy! It was a little hard to think of something to get her since she is a culinary genius and probably has every cool thing in the world that is related to cooking, so I tried my hand at being crafty. It didn't turn out quite so well, but I'm glad she's one of my best friends and knew that my intentions were good! After her shower, Josh and I headed to the Rupert tennis courts to play some tennis. The Minico courts were locked up tight and we wanted to play, so we opted to brave the "condemned courts". (They condemned the courts while I was a senior in high school and we had to play all of our tennis matches away for the year.) I can't believe how bad those courts look! The small cracks that we ignored while we played on them when I was in high school are now caverns and have thousands of foot tall weeds growing out everywhere. Out of the 6 courts, only 2 have nets up. oh well, it was still fun! Later that night my family arrived home from Florida and we stayed up late looking at their pictures and hearing all the fun stories!
A beautiful ride.
The Friday before Cris' shower, Josh and I planned to go for a ride in the mountains. Work that day was not very enjoyable for me and I wasn't too happy at the end of the day. But I knew Josh was excited for the ride, so I grabbed all my stuff and headed up to Midway to be there by the time Josh got off work. I got to his parents house and he was loading up the trailer. I changed and we drove over to the mountain. Josh pulled out his backpack which was bursting at the seams. I asked him what was in it and he said he brought a blanket in case we wanted to sit down somewhere and the bullets for the gun because we were also going shooting. We unloaded and headed up the trail. We rode for a while then decided to go up to the place where he proposed. The meadow was just as beautiful as I remembered :) I think it was actually a lot more green because of all the rain we've been getting lately. We shot some beer bottles and pop cans we found on the ground around a campfire and then Josh pulled out his backpack aka his little bag of tricks. He pulled out some newspaper and started a fire, then pulled out some cold dr. pepper, a package of hot dogs and some buns, and some hostess cupcakes. What a cutie! I had no idea we were going to have a campfire and I was so excited. Josh is always being so thoughtful and cute. We stayed until it started getting dark and then rode back to the truck and loaded up. It was such a fun and beautiful ride in the mountains. I'm so grateful we live so close to such beautiful places and we have the opportunity to enjoy them together. I love my husband! Here's some pictures of our little adventure.
