Jurgensmeier Family Reunion

For this year's Jurgensmeier family reunion, we went to the Heber Valley Girls Camp. It is so beautiful up there, the cabins are way nice, but its a bit strict with the rules. Anyway, it was so fun to spend time with our family! Right when we got there, Brad, Marianne, Kevin, Josh, Dad, and I went to a challenge course. You climbed a pole, walked across a metal line, then zip lined down. It was super fun and a little scary. I climbed the pole no problem but once I got to the top, I looked down.. big mistake! My legs were shaking as I stepped out onto the line. That was also the first zip line I've ever been on and it was SO fun!

We also did another challenge course with the whole Jurgensmeier family! It was a swing that you sat on then were lifted to the top of a tree. Once you got to the top, you let go of a rope and it sent you swinging back and forth high up in the air. It was a blast! Us kids decided that Mom needed to do it as well... She wasn't too thrilled with the idea, but after a lot of coaxing, we convinced her! (I even put her harness on her, there was no way she was not doing it.) Dad didn't believe that she'd do it, so he bet Brad $50.

Well, Mom had the time of her life-ok well at least it looked like she did- and Dad lost $50. It was AWESOME!

There was a talent show later that night as well. Our family did a Russian dance for it. We even dressed the part, complete with red sashes, beards, and fur hats. Unfortunately we didn't have enough Russian type hats so Josh looked more like something other than a Russian... See for yourself.... haha

And Kev has pretty large lips..
I'm sad we didn't get a picture of the whole family dressed up or even a video of us dancing... If anyone who reads this was there and has one, let me know! I'd love to see it!

The Jurgensmeier family is very talented. Unfortunately I only took a few pictures of the talent show...
Theses two cute kids sang songs from Beauty and the Beast and did so good!
The Felts did a cool dance with glow sticks taped to their bodies. It was hilarious and so cool!
Our family spent the rest of the night in our cabin playing games, eating treats, (and laughing at Kevin's lack of coordination) until super late.  Unfortunately I didn't win, but it was still fun :)

The next day after a delicious breakfast we headed out to the lake! It was gorgeous, but we couldn't go in it unless we were in boats. There were 2 types of boats: canoes and paddle boats. Josh and I have never been in a paddle boat before so we decided to try it. It was really fun and surprisingly neither of us had sore legs after paddling forever on the lake.

We played some gravel sand volleyball, ate lunch, then cleaned up our cabins so we could check out. Somehow Marianne and I got roped into cleaning the bathrooms the whole entire family used all weekend. Let's just say if we could never get jobs, MJ and I make quite a cleaning team!

After we left the camp, we headed down to Midway and spent a little while in the pool before the fam had to head home. It was a really fun weekend! Thanks Grandpa Jurgensmeier for being so wonderful and helping us have family reunions, we loved it!
