celebrations

For my 22 birthday I celebrated by going to classes from 9-5! And during my ochem lab while filling a pipette with a chemical it squirted down my sleeve. Instead of rinsing my arm in water right away, I just continued on with my experiment unconsciously scratching my arm.... which then led to a really red painful rash. whoops! After I was finally done with classes for the day, I walked to the car and started driving home. As I turned onto University to head towards the canyon, Josh called told me I was going the wrong way. He then led me on a sort of scavenger hunt until I found him parked in his car waiting for me! We went to outback which was so so delicious!  When we got home, I found a couple surprises waiting for me which included flowers, dark chocolate, and some Dr. Pepper :) We finished the night off with some chocolate pudding stuff aka Robert Redford. I got tons of phone calls and texts all day from friends and family and some fabulous birthday cards in the mail. I also got a Vera Bradley gift card from my parents! Thanks everyone! It was a marvelous birthday.

Six days later, we celebrated Josh's 25th birthday. I tried to make him a great breakfast in bed however, it decided to snow on his birthday and he got to do some snow removal early early in the morning. President's day was the next day so I made it then and the hashbrowns just wouldn't brown... see pile of mush in the corner... but I finally made him his eggs over easy without breaking a yolk! I was pretty proud of that accomplishment, but I've still got some work to do in the breakfast making department!
We had a delicious steak and shrimp dinner at his parent's house with tons of friends and family later on his birthday. It was fun to get together and eat delicious food! Josh's fav cake is german chocolate so I attempted to make one for the occasion. It tasted way better than it looked ha but its the thought that counts!

they made me help blow out the candles since my bday was earlier
We also celebrated being married for 1.5 years at Tucanos. LOVE that place! We went to the one in Salt Lake at the Gateway and after we got to Salt Lake a blizzard started! We didn't really plan for the snow so by the time we walked into the restaurant we were soaked so we had to warm up before we could eat. The snow looked beautiful falling outside the window as we ate, but then the canyon was closed from Salt Lake to Midway so we had to drive down to Provo then up the canyon that way.... it made for a long night but it was an adventure.

Speaking of snow... Midway looks so magical in all the snow we finally got in January & February.

we got all this snow in less than 2 hours!
and I LOVE the way mountains look with snow on them, they're so beautiful!

Now I'm celebrating that the lake is finally melting, you can actually see the grass on our lawn, and its been gorgeous weather this week! Crossing my fingers this spring weather is here to stay!
