On Christmas morning, Josh and I headed to the airport and flew to Virginia to surprise Jen (who is pregnant with TRIPLETS!!!) for Christmas. She was so surprised and we had a very relaxing and fun week with Peter and Jen. We played tons of games, ate delicious food, watched some good movies and football, and enjoyed being together. Josh and I are now lovers of Settlers of Catan, and I even won the last night! We also had plenty of competitive tetris wars... which were really intense and left our eyes watering. Peter and Jen also taught us how to make Gyozas and they were delicious!
We also were able to go and see Darin, Linsy, Tate and Beau in Chocolate land while we were there. The drive to Hershey was BEAUTIFUL. Such gorgeous rolling hills and huge beautiful houses with groves of trees everywhere. In fact, it was so beautiful, I didn't take any pictures... whoops!
Linsy made us a delicious dinner while we played with the boys then when Darin got home we went to Chocolate world. It was so cool to see how they make chocolate there and it was way cooler than we imagined it would be... its like a real deal park with roller coasters and everything!
| this house is 12' tall and is 100 sq feet of floor space. entirely made of CHOCOLATE. |
After we bought some chocolate, we had a personal tour of Hershey. Darin and Linsy knew tons about the town, the history, and all the buildings there. Milton Hershey was definitely a cool and interesting man and I will show my love and appreciation to him by continuing to eat Hershey's chocolate :)
Linsy also took us to Hershey Pantry the next morning. I can't just say that it was delicious, there isn't a word to describe the deliciousness. I had cinnamon french toast and I've never had french toast that tasted anything remotely like that goodness.
It was so fun to go and see Peter & Jen and Darin & Linsy. Thanks so much for letting us stay with you guys!

That is SWEET! Literally... get it? :) Man I wanna go see how they make candies! What a fun Christmas break!
