.weekend in washington.

Last weekend Brad & Marianne, Bryce & some of his friends, Josh, and I went to Washington, Utah (near St. George) for a relaxing vacation. It was wonderful. Josh & I got to St. George before everyone else, so we stopped and ate at this delightful place. I've only experienced the joy of In-n-out twice before this, so I was very excited. In-n-out did not disappoint me either. It was delicious. I do not know how a cheeseburger can taste so heavenly.

After that, Josh & I went to the St. George temple and took pictures of it. I've seen it before, but that night it was particularly beautiful. I've been to a temple before with Josh to take pictures, so I was ready for his "routine" this time. He starts at one side and slowly makes his way around taking pictures that have a lot of thought put into them and are pretty artistic. I think that's part of the reason why I found the temple so beautiful this time, its hard not to when you're looking at every little detail and going around it slowly. It amazes me that it was built so well and beautifully in the 1870's. I guess that's the "builder" in me. I loved the experience.

I tried to be artistic as well, some of my attempts turned out better than others as you can tell...

We went to the duplex/condo that we were staying in, and it was very nice. Waaaay nicer than I expected. Let's just say that I now want 8 foot beautiful wood doors in my future home. A few minutes later Bryce & friends showed up, and a while after that, Brad & Marianne arrived as well. We spent the rest of the night playing cards. I LOVE playing games! Brad & Marianne, Josh & I stayed up until about 4:30am playing and laughing. We all slept in the next day, played tennis for a long time- I almost beat Josh- and then ate at In-n-out, which was, once again, heavenly. We also got a free hamburger from a couple sitting next to us and all four of us had a small part of it.

The weekend was very relaxing and just what I needed to get through the tough two days of school this week. haha We left at 6am Monday morning to get back for our 10am classes. I hated to see it end, but my stomach is grateful... Unfortunately, In-n-out was our most nutritious meals (we went a total of 3 times) of the entire weekend..
